Some of the prominent design features included three 12′-0″ dia. All millwork fixtures such as security stations, cashier stations and product display were custom designed as functional living room furniture. Since the gaming portion of the floor plan consisted primarily of gaming tables, our main focus was directed towards creating a spectacular ceiling with suspended soffits, custom chandeliers and graceful curving material transitions. It replaced the Village Club Card Room which opened in 1946. We therefore eliminated the non-load bearing walls, the entire ceiling and entirely opened up the space which allowed us to transform the venue into a sleek, 1950’s mid-century modern inspired space. The Seven Mile Casino is a bay front card room that opened in July 2017. The existing building had lots of varying ceiling heights, odd transitions and a heavy layer of “gaudy” traditional elements. Clean, modern with lots of graceful curves and flowing shapes. Therefore, we created “wow factor” features in a way that blended into the new architectural elements. Since people spend vast amounts of time here, the lighting, art and overall design had to have a “Zen like” balance. For the gaming portion of the project, our goal was to create a space that was simple, elegant and felt more like a living room. The exterior bar/lounge was designed with fire pits, water features and loose seating surrounded by super cool dessert landscaping. The restaurant space looks out over the casino and consists of booth and table seating with a large indoor/ outdoor bar. The project consists of two large gaming rooms, an interior restaurant and an exterior bar/lounge patio area. ![]() Seven Mile Casino is a gaming Casino we designed located in Chula Vista, Ca.
